light painting
By Lorei Portraits
What is light painting?
Light painting is a remarkable and beautiful but highly-skilled, almost surgical, method of photography with light wands, numerous exposures and lots of finesse. The images are massaged, merged, blended into a breathtaking, almost stylized image that highlight design and shape. The resulting images are visual jewels, fine art portraits of cars, planes, motorcycles and anything glass or metal with heroic lines. So unique is light painting, it is impossible to capture in any other way.
How does it work?
It all starts with a phone call. We review images and styles, determine the best location, go over pricing and how to get the best results. Then we schedule the appointment to see your car/plane if you're close by. We discuss details and determine the best location to shoot, then schedule a session.
After the session, your images will be composited and a few days later you'll see a composite of the finished image. A darn near finished proof for your approval. There are numerous sizes available for home and office.
To get started
Please contact us at (814) 868-0888 to arrange a convenient time for a discussion with Paul about your ideas. Alternatively, you can reach out to us using the contact form below, and we will respond promptly.
During your meeting with Paul, he’ll help clarify your vision and begin planning the photo shoot. If you have a specific location in mind, Paul can schedule a visit to the site with you. Geography, lighting conditions, and architecture all come into play when selecting a venue.
We invite you to observe the photo shoot if you wish. Many clients find it fascinating to witness the light painting process, which typically lasts from one to three hours, depending on the complexity of the subject. Observing and participating in the session can deepen your appreciation for the beauty of your light painted image.
